Out of many. WE ARE ONE.

Who is Anthony Eid?
Anthony Eid is a Detroit policy advocate, community leader, and former Commissioner on the Michigan Independent Citizens Redistricting Commission running to represent Michigan’s House District 9.
For over a decade, Anthony has worked alongside residents, nonprofits, neighborhood organizations, and public officials to advance policies focused on affordable housing, economic opportunity, transparent government, and stronger communities. Through his leadership roles at Community Development Advocates of Detroit (CDAD) and the Coalition on Temporary Shelter (COTS), he has helped bring people together to tackle Detroit’s most pressing challenges. Anthony previously served as Chairman of the Michigan Independent Citizens Redistricting Commission, where he passed the fairest maps in the entire country.
Anthony’s commitment to public service began at Wayne State University, where he served as Student Body President, helping increase Black graduation rates, freezing student tuition, and addressing inequities in the medical school admissions process to ensure greater opportunities for Black students pursuing careers in medicine.
Anthony believes Michigan needs leaders who know how to not only develop good policy but also build coalitions and get legislation across the finish line. Too many important bills were passed by the Michigan Senate last term, but stalled in the House. Anthony is running to bring practical, community-focused leadership to Lansing that delivers real results for Detroit families.
